Housing Is Key - If you’re an income eligible renter who has experienced a financial hardship due to COVID-19 and have past due rent, or you’re a landlord who has experienced a loss in income because of unpaid rent, you may be eligible to get financial assistance now through the CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program. Click on the link to learn more.
Los Angeles County Development Authority- Income eligible households in LA County who need financial assistance for unpaid rent and utilities will be able to apply for help through CA-Rent Relief Program. Housing Division- The City of Montebello is dedicated to assisting the community in meeting their affordable housing needs.
COVID-19 Emergency Housing Assistance Program
The Montebello COVID-19 Emergency Housing Assistance Program provides emergency resident assistance grants to income eligible Montebello households who have been impacted by the COVID-19. Grants for rental, mortgage, and utilities payments will be made by the City on behalf of income eligible household to maintain housing and/or reduce payment delinquency in areas due to economic hardship. Eligible utilities include water, gas, electricity, phone, and internet. A maximum total grant of $5,000 is available per household for a period not to exceed three-months.

Print applications can be picked up Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at City Hall, 1600 W. Beverly Blvd., Montebello, CA 90640, located at the north side of City Hall (Canopy Location)
